THE FARMER
Once upon a time there was a farmer who had the perfect life. He had his own farm and a lovely wife. The love for his wife was so big that he even put aside his biggest wish: to have children. His wife was not able to get any children. This upset the optimistic farmer, but he stayed with her. Because she was everything he could ever wish for.
The farmer worked hard everyday. With great support of his wife. Until one day the farmer came home for lunch after ploughing the land. There was no food on the table. His wife did not prepare his lunch as she used to do. The farmer found his wife upstairs. She was saying something about a terrible head ache. He tried to convince her to go to the hospital, but she did not want to go. She died a few hours later.
Now the farmer wants to leave his old life behind. Start all over again, because he could not handle the hard work on the farm on his own. He needed her. He wished he had been able to convince her. He blamed himself for her death. There was nowhere he could go. He did not have a social life next to his work because there was just no time. The few free hours that he had he spent with his wife. His whole life revolved around her. Now the sun of his universe was gone. He was just wandering around.
There was no way this farmer could have ever started a new life. He blamed himself for his wife’s death. This was something he carried with him the rest of his life. It was too heavy for him. The poor man never stood a chance. He has found peace in the water. Somewhere along the Thames .
